Hadiths are NOT equal to the Quran. If you do not understand this, than you do not understand the greatness of Allah. Allah is Allah, the one and only creator, the one who feeds but is not fed and creates but is not created. The Quran is from Allah and Allah alone, there is no error in what he has decreed. Hadiths are accounts from men, men who died, men who ate, men who sleep, men who made mistakes and men who recieved no fame but that it was granted from Allah. How can you equate the works of men with the works of God?
The accounts in the Hadiths are extremely important because they give us a clear guide to the teachings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad (sws), but they will never be equal to the Quran. It is a Man vs. God equation, Allah always wins!
Never mistake this message as a bashing of the hadith, but simply an eye opener that the Quran should be number one in our hearts, because only through the remembrance of Allah do hearts find peace.
